Fool On volunteers were stunned today when we attended St. Margaret’s RC High School in Airdrie after being invited by pupils from S2.
The pupils are taking part in YPI (Young Philanthropist’s Society) Charity Championing which is an annual event where S2 volunteers select from local charities and showcase in front of their peers their reasons for choosing the charity. The winning charity would receive up to £3000 for their cause.
The pupils, Kiannaleigh, Mia, Megan, Stewart, Grace and Liam, really clicked with the volunteers from Fool On and the mission they have set up – recovery through performing arts. Board members Stuart, Junior, Martin and Project Coordinator Mandy, were over the moon when the cheery bunch presented them with a very well edited video package of them comically going around the school and collecting donations from their peers and held a movie day where viewers would pay to watch.
They then presented Fool On with a cheque for £181.63!! What a wonderful gift for us. Thank you so much guys!
