Discover Our Workshops

Fool On runs free creative workshops across North Lanarkshire for anyone looking to build confidence, improve wellbeing, and connect with others through the performing arts.

Our sessions cover music, comedy, and recording - giving people the chance to learn new skills, express themselves, and be part of something positive.

No experience is needed. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, trying stand-up comedy, or exploring studio recording, our workshops are open, supportive, and built around encouragement, not pressure.

Choir

Group workshop supporting mental health recovery

Our choir workshop is a relaxed, supportive space where you can explore your voice, build confidence, and enjoy making music together.

You don’t need any experience, training, or the ability to read music. We’ll cover vocal techniques, breathing, harmony, and simple exercises to help you improve and feel more comfortable singing. There’s time to practise, learn new songs, and develop your sound week by week.

For those who want it, there are opportunities to sing in front of others, build confidence, and take part in performances or local events - but there’s no pressure. You decide how far you want to take it.

We’ll cover creative techniques, storytelling, character development, dialogue, poetry, and simple writing exercises to help you develop your style and feel more confident putting your ideas onto the page. Music instrument lessons

Music workshop supporting mental health recovery

Our band and instrument workshops are relaxed, welcoming sessions where anyone can pick up an instrument, make music with others, and rebuild confidence through creativity.

You’ll get the chance to learn at your own pace, whether you’re trying guitar, drums, bass, keys, or vocals. No pressure, no auditions - just a friendly environment where encouragement matters more than experience.

Together we work on group songs, live performance skills, and the confidence that comes from sharing music with others. Many of our participants go on to play at local events and Fool On showcases throughout the year.

We sing together, work on group songs, explore performance skills, and focus on the confidence that comes from being heard. Many participants go on to perform at local events and Fool On showcases throughout the year.
